FAQs
I am allergic to nuts, is cultured cheeze for me?
All of our cheezes are made using cashew nuts and are therefore not suitable for those with a nut allergy.
Where can I find your cheeze?
We are selling our products online within Austria and to Germany. They get delivered straight to your door! But if you want to grab CULTURED from a store check out our stockists list here.
If you live in the NÖ area you can pick up your order at Kochstudio einfachgut in Herzogenburg. At the checkout you have the option to choose this location. Please shoot us an email or contact us on Instagram or Facebook to organize a pickup date and time. Want to help out spreading the cheeze-love? Let your retailers know that you’d like to see our product on their shelves.
What is the date of expiration?
You can find the date of expiration on the packaging. Our cheezes are freshly made and don’t contain any preservatives or additives. Therefore, their shelf-life is not as long as commercially available pre-packaged cheezes. Once opened, we recommend consuming it within 3-5 days.
Can I freeze the cheeze?
Absolutely yes! You can freeze the firm ch°°zes, just be sure to defrost them in the fridge (e.g. overnight).
What are the main ingredients?
Nuts! That’s about it. We add a little bit of water, vegan fermentation cultures, salt, and spices/herbs depending on the flavor. Is there any flavor you’re nuts about? Message us and will see what we can do!
Are your products gluten-free?
They sure are! Last time we checked, cashews and pumpkin seeds don’t contain gluten. We also produce in a gluten-free facility, so don’t you worry!
Are your products organic?
They sure are! All our products (except bonfire) are certified organic. Only the best for you!
Where do you source your nuts from?
The cashews we use are organic cashews from Brazil, they’re cracked by MACHINES and on top SMETA certified. (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is one of the most widely used ethical audit formats in the world. The certification encompass all aspects of responsible business practice and provides a globally-recognised to assess Sedex’s four pillars of Labour, Health and Safety, Environment and Business Ethics. The measurement criteria are based on the Ethical Trading Initiative ETI Base Code and is based on both international standards and International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions. )
Are your cheezes safe for pregnant women?
If you’re pregnant we recommend to always check with your health care practitioner first whether a certain product is safe for you. That said, our cheezes are food products and you can find the list of ingredients on each product page if you want to double-check.
